Darlene May Hesseltine entered into eternal rest on 02/06/2022 in Morganton NC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis L Hesseltine, and her youngest son, Trent Hesseltine. She is survived by two sons, Lance Hesseltine of Hanahan, SC, and Brian Hesseltine of Cary, NC. In addition, she had 3 grandsons, 1 grand daughter, 3 great grandsons and 4 great grand daughters with 1 more great granddaughter soon to .be born.
Darlene was born in Rockford Il. She married Curtis Hesseltine and they had 3 sons. During her life, she was a school teacher, PTA President, March of Dimes of Charleston President, and real estate agent, where she eventually became owner and broker in charge of Reality Word - Hesseltine and Associates.
She loved to travel with her husband, especially to Alaska, where they spent many summer’s fishing and hiking with their dog Eachi.
Funeral arrangements will be private and will be provided by Sossoman Funeral Home in Morganton, NC. Condolences may be sent to the funeral home.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
