Darlia Lail Danner

Yesterday, on Wednesday, September 6, 2006 we lost a very special lady. Darlia Lail Danner, otherwise known as "Nanny" to all who loved her, pass away. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was also a baptized member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

She was preceded in death by a husband, Clyde Ray Danner, Sr. and several brother and sisters. She has left behind a son, Clyde Ray Danner, Jr. and his wife Susan; a grandson, Robert Ray Danner, and his wife Wendy; and a granddaughter, Kelly Danner Simon, and her husband Brett. She will also be missed by her brothers and sisters, Artis Lail, Carlon Lail, Lee Lail, Elsie Mae Land and Faydean Lail, along with their families.

Nanny will be missed greatly, but her love of family and friends will live thru those whose lives she touched. Her love of flowers will never be forgotten as we are reminded every time we see a new bloom in the spring. Her love to laugh will not be forgotten any time soon either, even in her last days she was always making someone laugh, with her silly faces and sense of humor.

She spent 81 years on this earth and touched everyone’s life that she met. Now she lays asleep in death, waiting for the time when she will be welcomed back, with open arms by all who love her, in the resurrection that Jehovah God has promised. This hope was spoken by his son Jesus Christ at John 5:28-29, "…the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out."

Sossoman Funeral Home is handling the services for the family. Friend that wish to pay their respects will be welcomed at the home of her son, Ray Danner, 408 Old NC 18. A memorial talk will given at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, at 1663 Jamestown Rd., on Sunday, September 10, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. for all who wish to attend.
