Darrell Curtis Wellman

Darrell Curtis Wellman, 60, of Morganton NC passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at his residence. Born in Burke County, NC on October 1, 1951, he was the son of the late Guy Lee Wellman and Betty Duncan Wellman.Darrell is survived by his son, Shawn Wellman and wife, Erika, of Paris, TX; brothers, Robin Wellman and wife, Doris, of Marion, NC and Dennis Wellman and wife, Kathy, of Morganton; a sister, Patty Cook and husband, Ron, of Greensboro, NC; and his long-time companion, Glenda Hoyle of Glen Alpine.The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 18, 2012 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
