Darryl Brown

Darryl Brown, 67, of Rutherford College, NC went to his Heavenly home on Friday, March 8, 2019. He was born June 1, 1951 in Burke County to the late Roby Brown and Laura Ann Griffin Brown. He owned and operated Mustang Tire Service in Rutherford College. Darryl had also worked at Dale’s Antiques.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Venus Baker Brown; sisters, Mary C. Dale and Sue Dale; brother, Arnold Brown.

Darryl is survived by his brother, Roby (Clyde) Brown of Drexel, NC; sister, Barbara Jean Taylor of Drexel, Shirley Brown of Connelly Springs, and Iris Suddreth of Valdese; step-children, Marie Gilleon and Ronnie Baker; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 12:00pm til 1:00pm, Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The service will follow at 1:00pm in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Donna O’Neal officiating. Burial will be in the Hemphill Cemetery.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
