David Dulaney

David Dulaney, 75, of the Oak Hill Community, Morganton, NC died Friday, March 15, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Yancey County on February 7, 1938 and was son of the late James and Dora Hughes Dulaney. Mr. Dulaney was a veteran of the U. S. Army and retired from Segri Great Lakes Carbon after 30 years of employment.Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Hensley Dulaney; his children and their spouses, Keith and Monica Dulaney, Debra and John Kincaid, Pam and Tim Farris, and Gary and Betty Dulaney all of Morganton; sisters, Ruth Black and Louise Hensley both of Burnsville, and Mary Duncan of Marion; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a number of brothers and sisters.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2012 at Mountain Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Pete McCombs officiating. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Mountain Grove United Methodist Church, 3625 Fish Hatchery Rd., Morganton, NC 28655. Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting with arrangements.
