David M. Waters

David M. Waters, 68, of Morganton, NC died Friday, December 3, 2010 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC. Born in Burke County, NC on February 16, 1942, he was the son of Beula Walker Waters of Morganton and the late John Marshall Waters. David was a member of South Mountain Baptist Church and retired from the City of Morganton.He is survived by his wife, Janice Hobson Waters of the home; a son, David Lee Waters and wife, Donna, of Morganton; step-sons, Bobby Walters and wife, Lydia, of Morganton and Freddy Walters of Charlotte, NC; a brother, Dean Waters of Morganton; sisters, Earleen Morrison and husband, Kenneth, and Robin Waters, both of Morganton; and grandchildren, Jake Waters, Megan Waters, Tyler Walters, and Dakota Walters.The funeral will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 7, 2010 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Annas and Rev. Bob Deviney officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
