David Sheldon Calloway, 67, of Connelly Springs passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019. Born in Avery County, NC on July 3, 1951, he was the son of the late Bob Calloway and Jacqueline Delores Mayo Calloway. David was a veteran of the NC National Guard and loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Calloway is survived by his wife, Teena Calloway of the home; step-children, Steven Burris, Stephanie Brogley, C. Glenn Eckard, and Ernie Eckard; siblings, Susan Gladden and Greg Calloway; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by brother, Ted and Mike Calloway; and sister, Cindi Lockman.
A private family service will be held at a later date.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
