David Woodard, 66, of Morganton, NC went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.
Born in Haywood County, NC on January 7, 1956, he was the son of the late Eulice Woodard and Margaret Hoxit Woodard Chapman. David’s last wish was for those who knew him to know Jesus and serve Him. David left his blessing and love to all who knew him.
Mr. Woodard is survived by his wife, Shelly Woodard; son, James Wilkie Woodard; granddaughter, Chloe Dawn Woodard; siblings, Patricia Jordan (Mel), Linda Clark, and Charles Woodard (Janet); and step-father, Roy Chapman
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a son, Clint Woodard; and brothers, Allen and Bobby Woodard.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m., Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home.
