Debra "Debbie" Norman Wilson, 64, of Morganton passed away to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Burke Hospice Palliative Care Center. Debbie was born November 11, 1950 in Burke County to Joseph Daniel Norman now of Tennessee and the late Patricia Ann Childers Hulseberg. She was a member of Way of the Cross Baptist Church and former member of Mulls Grove Baptist Church. Debbie was executive director of Options for over 20 years. In 1992 she was named Woman of the Year. She co-founded Clay-Wilson and Associates with Kathy Clay. Debbie was an instructor with WPCC and was a role model for many women.
In addition to her mother, Debbie was preceded in death by a brother, Rick Hulseberg.
Debbie is survived by her husband of 33 years, Charlie Wilson: children, Carlene Wilson Ray, Joseph "Joe" Clarke and his wife Marlee and Corrianne Wilson all of Morganton; grandchildren, Dallas Davis, Judge Clarke, Dollie Clarke, Page Clarke, Samuel Keller and Noah Wilson; brother Ronnie Norman and his wife Carolyn of Nebo and step-father, Fred Hulseberg of Statesville.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 21, 2014 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with the Rev. Richard Ellington officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service.
