Delcie Delphia Osborne Deyton

Delcie Delphia Osborne Deyton, 78, of Smawley St. in Morganton died Friday, August 21, 2009 at Grace Hospital following a period of declining health. She was born December 5, 1930 in Ashe County, NC, and was a daughter of the late Conley Osborne and Nancy Mahala Osborne. Delcie was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church, and a retired employee of King Hosiery Mill.She is survived by sons, Harold Dean Deyton of Gainesville, GA, Robert C. Deyton, David Chan Deyton, Walter Deyton, and Ray Deyton, all of Morganton; a daughter, Gay Pakacki of Morganton; brothers, James Osborne, Tom Osborne, and Bill Osborne, all of Ashe County; sisters, Margaret Roark of Mountain City, TN, and InaMae Pierce of Chesapeake Bay, VA; sixteen grandchildren, and 14 great-granchildren.Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, August 23, 2009 at Faith Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m at the church. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
