Dennis Burnett Beaver

Dennis Burnett Beaver, 72, of Dysartsville Road, Morganton, NC died Thursday, August 6, 2009 at his residence. Born in Burnsville, NC on November 30, 1936, he was the son of the late Gerry and Bessie Ayers Beaver. Dennis was an employee of Morganton Dyeing and Finishing for nineteen years. He was a master handyman and loved to work on old cars.A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Dennis is survived by his wife, Rebecca "Becky" Buchanan Beaver of the home; children, Denise Beaver Doolan and husband, Jim, of Flemington, NJ, Dennis B. Beaver, Jr. and wife, Lisa Marie, of Canadensis, PA, and Daniel Beaver of California; grandchildren, Jym, Stephanny, Harlee, Taylor, Jason, Devon, Sam, Joey, and Danielle; and two step-children, Andy Connor and Eric Connor, both of the home.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Marie Beaver; a grandson, Dennis Beaver, III; and a brother, Bill Beaver.The memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, August 9, 2009 at Morganton Baptist Church and Christian Academy with Rev. Dan Qurollo officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home where the body will remain until placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
