Dennis Roger Evans, 56, of Chapman Hollow Dr., Morganton, NC died Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at his residence following a period of declining health. He was born April 3, 1950 in Wyoming County, WV, and was a son of the late Herbert Evans and Ollie White Evans. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Coleman Evans. Dennis was a loving father and husband.
He is survived by daughters, Rebecca Evans of Beckley, WV, and Lydia Evans and her fiancée, Joe Hoopsick, of Niagara Falls, NY; grandchildren, Dalton Evans of Beckley, WV and Amber Cook of Jasper, AL; brothers, Danny Evans of Granite Falls, NC and Stacy Evans and wife, Pam of Pineville, WV; nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, Bridget and Ivy Walker, Geri, Cheyenne, and Danny Hinkley, and Roger and Tanner Evans.
The family will be at the residence, 1829 Chapman Hollow Dr., Morganton. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
