Dennis William Britt, 90, of Morganton, NC, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022.
Born in Gwinnett County, GA on March 6, 1932, he was the son of the late Will James Britt and Maude Camp Britt. Known as the lawnmower man, Dennis loved to tinker, fix things, and work on cars. Dennis never met a stranger and always had a smile on his face.
Mr. Britt is survived by his sons, Russell A. Britt, Terry Britt, and Tim Britt; daughter, Tracey Britt; and a number of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death his wife, Zella Cuteene Smith Britt; and son, Richard Dennis Britt.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Dean Gurley officiating. Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
