Dewey Clyde Regan, Jr., 78, of Drexel, NC, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025.
Born in Mitchell County, NC on August 5, 1946, he was the son of the late Dewey Clyde Regan, Sr. and Myrl Burleson Regan.
Dewey was a US Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. He owned and operated Regan Construction in Maryland for many years. He loved woodworking and could fix just about anything. He especially enjoyed spending time with family.
A loving and devoted partner, father, and grandfather, Dewey is survived by his partner of twelve years, Reeta Conner; son, Jayson Howard (Marie); grandchildren, Joyce and Rebekah Howard; brother, David Regan; sister, Betty Regan; and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to his parents, Dewey was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Hackney; brothers, Jerry, Ronald, and Gary Regan; and sisters, Myrlene Byrd and Bobbi Regan.
No services for Dewey are planned at this time.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
