Diane Burns Willis

Diane Burns Willis, 47, of Oak Street, Morganton, NC died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Grace Hospital. Born in Burke County, NC on March 28, 1963, she was the daughter of Jean Loftin Burns and the late Sanford Edward Burns. Diane was a member of Harvest Praise Church. A loving and caring person, she attended to the needs of her mother.Diane is survived by her husband, Billy Eugene Willis, Jr. of the home; a son, Billy E. Willis, III of Burlington, NC; a brother, Wayne Burns of Morganton; a sister, Nancy Burns-Connelly of Durham, NC; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other extended family.In addition to her father, Diane was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Benjamin Frank Connelly, Sr., and her father-in-law, Billy Willis, Sr.The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 14, 2010 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park.
