Diane Wellman

Diane Wellman, 68, of Morganton, NC died Sunday, June 19, 2011 at her residence. Born in Catawba County, NC on May 6, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Rosevelt Cochran and Minnie Bell Mash Cochran. Diane retired from Lowe’s Hardware and attended New Beginnings Church.She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Jerry D. Wellman of the home; a son, Rick Brittain of Etters, PA; and grandchildren, Jerry, Tony, and Casey Brittain.In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Cochran, and two infant sisters.The funeral will be held at noon, Thursday, June 23, 2011 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with Rev. Bob Deviney officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until noon. Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park.
