Diane Winters Hubbard, 64, of Morganton passed away peacefully on Monday, April 23, 2018 after a courageous, long battle with cancer. Born in Burke County, NC on June 21, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Charles L Winters and Elizabeth England Winters. Diane was a life-long member of First United Methodist Church.
Diane was a marketing coordinator for many years at Vanguard Furniture in Hickory. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She cherished the joys that becoming a grandmother brought to her life.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Hubbard of 47 years; daughter, Stephanie Dutton and husband, Anton, of Granite Falls, NC; grandchildren, Alera Hager, Kaylee Dutton, and Jaxon Dutton; brother, Michael Winters and wife, Pansy, of Social Circle, GA; sisters, Debbi di Santi and husband, Tony, of Blowing Rock, NC and Daphne Stephens and husband, Frankie, of Morganton; and son-in-law, Brent Hager of Conover, NC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelley Hager.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Friday, April 27, 2018 in the fellowship hall of First United Methodist Church. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. in the church with the Rev. Dana McKim officiating. Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park.
