Dimple Aldridge Clark, 92, went Home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 7, 2024. She was born on April 5, 1932 in Watauga County to the late Everett Aldridge and Nancy Perkins Aldridge. She was a member of Jonas Ridge Baptist Church where, at one time, she taught the children’s Sunday school class. Dimple was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister who loved the Lord and her family. She loved camping and going to Nascar racing at the Hickory Motor Speedway. Dimple was very artistic and loved working with crafts, drawing and crocheting. She also loved flowers and was an excellent cook. Most of all, Dimple enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter McKinnley Clark; brothers, Dillard Aldridge, Dallas Aldridge and Dayton Aldridge; sister, Decota Story.

Dimple is survived by a daughter, Elaine Clark Hyde (Charles); son, Joel Dwayne Clark (Jennifer); grandchildren, David Watts (Renee), April Mumy (Ryan), Kevin Hyde (Kristina), Justin Clark (Natasha) and Josh Clark (Melissa); thirteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Dema Spann and Dannie White; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family will have service at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Thank you to the staff and caregivers of Terra Bella Senior Living, Carolina Caring Hospice and Catawba Valley Medical Center for their compassionate, loving care given to Dimple.
