Donald Ray Logan

Donald Ray Logan, 61, of Morganton went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 01, 2018.  Born May 23, 1957 in Burke County, he was a son of Flavia York Logan and the late Charles William Logan.

Mr. Logan was a hard worker and a self-employed brick mason for over forty years.  He loved gospel music and doing anything outdoors.  He especially loved Harley Davidson motorcycles and rode with several motorcycle clubs.  Donald had a kind heart and was always taking care of other people and always ready to lend a helping hand.

In addition to his father, Donald was preceded in death by his brother, Michael William Logan.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Flavia Logan; son, Daris Logan; nephew, Kelly Logan and wife, Catherine; great-nephew, Caleb; great-niece, Karsyn; and Bridget Logan, niece.

The family will receive friends, from 1 – 2 p.m., Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Sossoman Funeral Home.  The service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. David Orders officiating.  Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
