Donna “Lynn” Williams Helton

Donna “Lynn” Williams Helton, 59, of Morganton died Friday, October 25, 2019.  Born in Buncombe County, NC on July 9, 1960, she was the daughter of Elizabeth McClure and the late Russell McClure.  Lynn was a member of Grandview Baptist Church and loved her dogs and other animals.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Helton of the home; step-sons, Brad Helton (Kat) and Jon Helton (Kate); step-daughter, Layla Conley (Brian); grandchildren, Paige Corpening and Braeden Lackey; brother, Brian Keith Williams; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Sossoman Funeral Home.  The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. John Whisnant officiating.  Burial will follow in the Grandview Baptist Church Cemetery.
