Donna Mae Frady Daves

Donna Mae Frady Daves, 60, of Morganton went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 8, 2021.  Born in McDowell County, NC on march 12, 1960, she was the daughter of Ruth Mae Bartlett Riddle and the late Fred Leonard Frady.  Along with her husband, Donna owned and operated Marshall Convenience Store.  She always cared for others and put them before herself.

Donna is survived by her beloved family, including her husband, Herbert “Marshall” Daves; daughter, DeEtta Morgan (Johnny) and Angel Williams; step-children, Brenda Lynn Lilly (Wayne) and Jeffery C. Daves; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; mother, Ruth Mae Bartlett Riddle; brothers, Jeff Frady, and wife, Charlene and Leonard Frady, and wife, Misty; and a sister, Rebecca Frady Lane; several nieces and nephews; and best friend, Donna Horton.

In addition to her father, Donna was preceded in death by a step-son, Randall Daves; brother, Steven Frady; sister, Kathy Frady; and niece, Tracy Frady.

The family will greet friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center.  The graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Glen Alpine Cemetery with Chaplain Jamie Hazel officiating.
