Donna Passage Benjamin

Donna Passage Benjamin, 62, of Morganton, NC passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012. Born on June 19, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Wesley Passage and Thelma Louise Drake Passage. Donna was a member of Nowlings Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. She was very dedicated to her job as a CNA II at Grace Heights; she continued to work after being diagnosed with cancer.Donna is survived by her son, Robert Benjamin, Jr. and wife, Brandy, of Sayre, PA; a daughter, Brenda Hutchins of Morganton; grandchildren, John Hutchins, Kiana Mullen, Makayla Mullen, Brittni Benjamin, Bobby Benjamin, and Carter Benjamin; brothers, Ralph Passage of Smethport, PA and Roger Passage of Sneeds Ferry, NC; and a number of nephews, nieces, and special friends.In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Benjamin; a brother, Roy Passage; and a son-in-law, Jonathan Hutchins.The memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Nowlings Chapel Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Darvy Hensley officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. At other times the family will be at the home.
