Donna Turner Fields

Donna Turner Fields, 53, of Mount Holly, NC died Tuesday, August 12, 2014. Born in Burke County, NC on June 11, 1961, she was the daughter of Robert Turner and Katherine Yelton Turner of Morganton. She graduated from Freedom High School in Morganton, Western Carolina University, and Queens College in Charlotte, NC. She was 2 tasks away from completing her doctorate degree from the University of Pheonix. She was Assistant Vice President of Neurology at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

Donna was a member of Cane Creek Baptist Church in Union Mills, NC and attended Denver United Methodist Church in Denver, NC.

In addition to her parents, Donna is survived by her husband, Danny Fields of the home; a brother, David Turner and his wife, Leslie, of Denver, NC; a special niece, Megan Turner; a special nephew, Justin Turner; and special aunt and uncle, Hannah and Roy Ledford of Morganton; step-sons, Donald and Dale Fields; special step-grandchildren, Layla, Derrick, Alex, Austin, and Lilly Fields; along with a host of cousins and co-workers. Donna was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Turner; grandparents; two uncles; two aunts; and two cousins.

The memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Denver United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jeff Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Amy's House - Lincoln County Coalition Against Domestic Violence, P.O. Box 476, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
