Dorine “Dee” Keener, 73, of Morganton, NC, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
Born in Orange County, NY on March 14, 1951, she was the daughter of the late David H. Miller and Ethel May Kraft Miller.
Dee had worked with Burke United Christian Ministries and Southern Devices, and she owned and operated an alterations shop. She was very witty but was also a no-nonsense person. She was all about her family and loved to cook for them.
Dee is survived by her husband, Thomas Keener; daughter, Christina Williams; grandson, Gabriel Williams (fiancée, Stephanie Norris); and her furry companions, Pickles, the dog, and Ash, the rabbit.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
There will be a gathering of family and close friends at a later date.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
