Dorothy Hale Cline, 82, of Drexel, NC died Wednesday, April 23, 2014. Born in Russell County, VA on March 11, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Burke Leonard Hale and Ella Nora Reynolds Hale. Dorothy was a member of Drexel Memorial Baptist Church and loved flowers and collecting dolls.Dorothy is survived by her sons, Steve Farmer and his wife, Laura, of Columbia, TN and Richard Cline and his wife, Sandy, of Morganton; a daughter, Diane Hennessee and her husband, Phil, of Morganton; grandchildren, Katie Farmer, Andy Farmer, Nina Cline, McKayla Hennessee, Mason Hennessee, and James Joshua Farmer; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Irene Steele.In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Vernon Cline, and her first husband, Andrew Farmer; and two brothers.The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, April 25, 2014 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with the Rev. Andrew Dalton and the Rev. Adam Duncan officiating. Entombment will follow in Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. At other times the family will be at the home of the daughter, Diane Hennessee.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Burke County Friends for Animals, P.O.
