Dorothy Seech Smith

Dorothy Seech Smith, 76, of Glen Alpine died peacefully on Thursday, May 31, 2012. Dorothy was born in Gary, WV on December 5, 1935 and was a daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth Seech.She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Charles Smith; her sister, Julia Dolgas of Glen Alpine; her sons, Ronald Smith of Glen Alpine and Alan Smith of Seaford, DE; her daughter, Janice Smith Gaines of Glen Alpine; grandchildren, Kara Metts of Blowing Rock, Ron J. Smith Jr., Amanda Presnell, Charlie Smith, and Jennifer Thomas all of Morganton, Jessica Smith of Midwest City, OK, Holly Smith of Connelly Springs, Allison Gaines of Asheville, Silas Smith of Glen Alpine, Jaime Burris of Valdese, and Jeremy Burris of Seaford, DE; and six beautiful great-grandchildren.A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2012 at the home of Charles Smith on Church Street, Glen Alpine.
