Dottie Gregory

Dottie Gregory, 64, of Morganton, NC died Sunday, August 4, 2013. Born in Pierce County, WA on January 15, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Deed Dee Newman and Mary Anna Hurdelbrink Newman. Dottie was a member of Walker Road Baptist Church. Dottie had lived all over the United States as an Air Force wife.A loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Dottie is survived by her husband, Bill Gregory of the home; three sons, Gary E. Gregory and his wife, Dawn, of Morganton, Danny W. Gregory of Columbia, TN, and Brian C. Gregory and his wife, Rian, of Glen Alpine, NC; six grandchildren, Kimberly Mellon, Mark Gregory, Brittany Mellon, Briana Gregory, Ethan Gregory, and Austin Gregory; two brothers, Terry Newman of Morganton and Walt Newman of Longview, WA; her three dogs; and her pot-bellied pig.A service for Dottie will be held at a later date.Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4-A Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, NC 27407.Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
