Dr. M. Lawrence Reubens

Dr. M. Lawrence Reubens, 79, of Morganton, NC, formerly of Lake Worth, FL, died Friday, September 24, 2010 at Autumn Care of Drexel following a period of declining health. Born in Westchester County, NY on June 14, 1932, he was the son of the late Jacob Reubens and Fanita Plotinsky Reubens. Dr. Reubens was of the Presbyterian Faith. He was a loving husband and a caring doctor to his patients. He made house calls when necessary to treat his patients. He attended medical school in Michigan, taught at the V.A. Medical Center in Richmond, VA, and was one of the first doctors qualified to read EKGs in Lake Worth.Dr. Reubens is survived by his wife, Brenda Smith Reubens of the home; daughters, Andrea Robinson and husband, Keith, of Raleigh, NC, Jennifer Ross of Lake Worth, FL, and Rebecca Reubens of Lake Worth; and two grandchildren.No services are planned at this time. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
