Dwayne Wilson McLean

Dwayne Wilson McLean, 40, of Morganton went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 19, 2019.  Born in Caldwell County, NC on: May 17, 1978, he is the son of Dwayne McLean, Sr. and Lucy Sender McLean (fiancé, Tim Dileo).

Dwayne was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.  He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and spending time at the river.  He was a friendly, out-going man who never met a stranger.  He loved his family and his dogs.

In addition to his parents, Dwayne is survived by his siblings, Tanya McLean, Lu McLean, and Timmy Dileo; uncles, Joe Sender, Bob Sender, Norman McLean, and Jerald McLean; aunts, Terry Predzimirski, Denise McLean, and Margaret McLean; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Dwayne was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Pete and Cleo McLean; and his maternal grandparents, Joe and Sophie Sender.

The graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, February 25, 2019 at the McLean Family Cemetery with Pastor Steve Curtis officiating.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
