E N Watson

E N Watson, 83, of Hickory went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May, 28, 2018.  Born in Caldwell County on February 20, 1935, he was the son of the late Thomas Sylvester Watson and Lexie Elizabeth Watson.  E N was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.  E N was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War and retired from Bell South. He was an avid golfer and loved fishing, hunting, woodworking, and technology.

E N is survived by a son, Stuart Todd Watson of Morganton; and a sister, Jane W. Lindsey of Lenoir.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Virginia “Ginger” Watson; brothers, Mark, Hill, and Floyd Watson; and a sister, Ann W. Hoover.

A celebration of E N’s life will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, June 3, 2018 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Thompson officiating.  The committal service will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Military Honors will be provided by NC National Guard and Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard.
