Edna Diann Vasser Browning

Edna Diann Vasser Browning, 62, of Charlie Crawley Rd. in Morganton died Friday, October 10, 2008 at Grace Hospital following a period of declining health. She was born March 11, 1946 in Edgerly, Louisiana to the late August Dean Vasser and Dorothy Lee McFetridge Vasser. Edna was a member of Mt. Home Baptist Church, and worked as a cake decorator at the Food Lion of Burkemont Avenue. She was a joy and loved by all who knew her.Edna is survived by her husband, Herbert F. Browning of the home; sons, Ronnie Vasser and wife, Wendy, of Morganton, and Chuck Morse of Polkton, NC; daughters, Angela Vallery and fiancée, Robbie McNeil, of Morganton, and Peggy V. Johnson and husband, John of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Richard Vasser, Kyle Johnson, Stephanie Dameron, Samantha Fontenot, Benji Fontenot, Korey Morse, Lindsey Morse, and Haley Morse; great grandchildren, Madison Morse and Hunter Dameron; a brother, Tommy Vasser and wife, Gaynell, of Vinton, Louisiana; a sister, Lila Faye Jackson of Ragley, Louisiana; and a special friend and sister, Nell Carpenter.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2008 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Gamble officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Home Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the residence.
