Edna Reep Costner

Edna Reep Costner, 76, of Oakdale Drive, Morganton died Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Grace Hospital following a period of declining health. Born August 31, 1934 in Burke County, she was a daughter of the late William C. Reep, Sr. and Lois England Reep. Edna was an active member of Mt. Home Baptist Church and a longtime member of Glen Alpine United Methodist Church.She is survived by her husband Bob Costner, Sr. of the home; sons, Bobby G. Costner, Jr. and wife, Gretchen, of Valdese, and Clay Costner and wife, Ginger, of Billings, Montana; granddaughters, Ashley Costner of Morganton and Kelsey Costner of Valdese; a brother, W. C. Reep, Jr. of Glen Alpine; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by a brother, Mackie Reep, and sisters, Betty Jo Patton and Katherine Wofford.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Mt. Home Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Gamble officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers and gifts memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Home Baptist Church Graceful Giving Fund, 2272 Mt. Home Church Rd., Morganton, NC 28655, or to the Shriner’s Children Hospital, 950 W. Faris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605.
