Edna Romaine Johnson Coffin

Edna Romaine Johnson Coffin, 92, of Morganton, NC died Saturday, December 26, 2015.  Born in Jamestown, NY on February 17, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Conrad A. Johnson and Nellie Edna Carlson Johnson.  Edna was a member of First United Methodist Church and served as a volunteer for many community organizations.

Mrs. Coffin is survived by her sons, David Coffin and his wife, Margaret, of Drexel, NC and Gary Coffin and his wife, Dereama, of Morganton; a daughter, Wendy Coffin of Morganton; grandchildren, Kirsten Marett and her husband, Jeff, of Belmont, Kelsey Webb and her husband, Tim, of Nebo, and Justin Coffin and his wife, Sara, of Raleigh; and great-grandchildren, Hunter Marett, Madison Marett, and Cooper Webb.

In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her husband, George David Coffin, Jr., and a brother, C. Kenneth Johnson.

The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center.  Her cremated remains will be interred with her husband in the Johnson Plot of Lakeview Cemetery in Jamestown, NY.
