Eliza "Jennie" Butler Ramsey

Eliza “Jennie” Butler Ramsey, 70, of Morganton, NC passed away, Wednesday, February 1, 2017. She was born on January 7, 1947 in Burke County, NC and was the daughter of the late William Sanford Butler and Vadie Huffman Butler. Jennie was a wonderful cook and loved dogs. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Steirs Butler and William Butler, Jr.; and sisters, Sarah Cline and Margie Butler.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Larry Ramsey of the home; son, Kenneth Jason Ramsey and wife, Rebecca of Morganton; sisters, Ann Guy, Gladys Butler, and Mildred Tweed; brother, Clyde Butler; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. The service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Douglas Price officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
