Elizabeth Aileen Roper Bradshaw

Elizabeth Aileen Roper Bradshaw, 83, of Glen Alpine, NC passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at her residence. Born in Burke County, NC on March 19, 1928, she was the daughter of the Wesley Roper and Hattie Epley Roper. Elizabeth loved to travel and shop.She is survived by her sons, Steve Bradshaw and wife, Kathy, and Randy Bradshaw and wife, Rebecca, both of Morganton; grandchildren, Tina Bradshaw, Scott Bradshaw, Michael Bradshaw, Wendy Pacheco, and Stephen Bradshaw; great-grandchildren, Carter Bradshaw, Aydan Pacheco, and Zachary Carson; and numerous nephews and nieces.In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Edward Bradshaw, and siblings, John Roper, Arthur Roper, Duke Roper, Frank Roper, Ann Chapman, Bessie McGalliard, Luke Roper, and Lillie Smith.The funeral will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, December 23, 2011 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with Pastor Ken VanBuskirk and Brother Buren Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Alpine Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
