Elizabeth Miller

Elizabeth Orders Miller, 91, of Morganton, NC passed away Monday, June 11, 2018, after a period of declining health.

She was born in Burke County on December 11, 1926 to the late Charles Glen Orders and Ollie Stroup Orders. Elizabeth was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. She loved to quilt and oil paint. She also enjoyed reading. She especially loved her dog “Emma.”

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Miller; brother, Burgin Orders; sister, Betty Wiggins.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary “Beth” McCoy and husband, Terry, of Morganton, NC and her grandson, Zachary Kinion of Pennsylvania.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm-2:00pm on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The graveside service will follow at 2:30pm at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hopewell Baptist Church, 1112 Hopewell Rd., Morganton, NC 28655.
