Ellen Rose

Ellen Rose, 70, of Jonas Ridge, NC died Thursday, September 25, 2014. Born in Avery County, NC on December 9, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Fred Linville Wiseman and Eudora Anne Stroup Wiseman.
Ellen is survived by her husband, Leon Douglas Rose of the home; a daughter, Laura Whittington and her husband, Eddie, of Jonas Ridge; a son, Frederick “Freddie” Wiseman and his wife, Debbie, of Valdese, NC; a granddaughter, Nikki Wiseman of Valdese; a grandson, Brian Whittington of Banner Elk, NC; and a sister, Esther Coffey of Morganton, NC.
In addition to her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Whisnant; and a brother, Fred Wiseman.
The funeral will be held at 3:30 pm, Sunday, September 28, 2014 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with Dr. Danny Emory officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 until 3:30 pm prior to the service. At other times the family will be at the home of Eddie and Laura Whittington, 7235 Ginger Cake Road, Jonas Ridge.
