Elsie Mull Parlier

Elsie Mull Parlier of Morganton died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2011 at Grace Hospital. Born in Burke County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Shell Mull and Annie Lou Dale Mull. Elise was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She had a vivacious personality, and enjoyed spending time with her friends and going places together. Elsie was devoted to her family, but her grandchildren were the special loves of her life.She is survived by a daughter, Katrina Tallent and husband, Tracey of Morganton; grandchildren, Trevor, Breann, Malarie, and Brasen Tallent; sisters, Verenese Wilson and husband, James, and Edith Peeler, all of Morganton; a brother, Burman Mull and wife, Nina of Morganton; a sister-in-law, Mary Lee Mull of Morganton; and a number of nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, Elsie was preceded in death by a brother, Carlos Mull; sisters, Vergie Chapman, Mildred Carswell, and Katherine Whisnant; and a half-brother, Tillman Mace.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, February 18, 2011 at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Marty Bess officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday one hour before the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Baptist Church Building Fund, 1939 Paul Shuping Avenue, Morganton, NC 28655. Sossoman Funeral Home & Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
