Elva “Granny” Clark Weatherman

Elva “Granny” Clark Weatherman, 90 of Morganton, NC passed away, Wednesday, April 21, 2021. Born on September 12, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Harlan and Thula Clark and Dorothy Clark. Her greatest passion in life was her family. Elva was a homemaker and an avid reader. She retired from Boughton Hospital as Supervisor of Housekeeping. Elva worked in the nursery at Walker Road Baptist Church for many years.

Elva is survived by her sons, Jeff Weatherman and wife, Becky, Lewis Weatherman and wife, Tammy; grandchildren, Chad Weatherman and wife, Sarah, Katie W. Tollison and husband, Michael, Seth Weatherman and wife, Chelsea, Sarah Weatherman, Molly Weatherman, Heather Boggs, Mark Chapman and wife, Megan, Andy Jordan and wife, Tara; great-grandchildren, Easton Tollison, Emmett Tollison, Benjamin Carver Weatherman, Nolan Clark Weatherman, Cale Chapman, Slade Chapman, Katie Jordan, Sam Jordan, Kari Jordan; brother, Larry Clark; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Elva is preceded in death by her husband, Carver “Pop” Weatherman; son, Michael Weatherman.

A funeral service will be held at 3pm, Sunday April 25, 2021 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with the Pastor David Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Burke Hospice & Palliative care.
