Emilee Cheyenne Bishop

On Thursday, May 30, 2013, Emilee Cheyenne Bishop passed away from heart complications after a three month battle with Leukemia. Emilee was an artistic, musical 6th grader at Liberty Middle School. She had an affinity for all animals, but especially those of the creepy, crawly variety. Emilee loved to read, draw, design, and play violin and guitar. She was a vibrant force of life. She touched every life she came into contact with. Emilee will be missed but greatly remembered. She was a member of United Church of God in Lincolnton, NC.Emilee is survived by her parents, Harper Graham Bishop and Maria Shannon Carswell Bishop of the home; siblings, Cody, Beverly, Caroline, and Savannah; grandparents, Robert and Mary Carswell of Morganton and Gary and Denise Bishop of Nebo; a wonderful aunt, Amanda Edwards; uncles, Chris Edwards and Shane Bishop, all of Morganton; great-grandparents, Graham and Sarah Anderson; as well as numerous loving great-aunts and great-uncles.The funeral will be held at 5:00 p.m., Monday, June 3, 2013 at Patton High School with the Pastor Scott Hoefker officiating. A private graveside service will be held later. The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses.
