Ethel B. Hudson, 83 of Spring Lake, NC passed away Friday, April 6, 2018. She was born January 19, 1935 in Burke County, NC and was the daughter of the late Monroe Bradshaw and Estelle Mull Bradshaw Duckworth. Ethel was a member of Mt. Home Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Lester Hudson; brother, RV Bradshaw; half-brother, Monroe Bradshaw, Jr.; and half-sister, Sandra Penley.
She is survived by son, Toney Hudson from TN; daughter, Lyna H. Wilson and husband, Robert of Spring Lake, NC; seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; half-brother, Ray Bradshaw; half-sisters, Mary Clark, Elizabeth Cline, Brenda Stines, and Carolyn Greene; step-brother, Richard Duckworth; and step-sister, Shelby Jean Jones.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m., Thursday, April 12 at Mt. Home Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the church with Rev. Jerry Gamble officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Home Baptist Church Building Fund, 2272 Mt. Home Church Rd., Morganton, NC 28655.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
