Ethel Beach Costner

Ethel Beach Costner, 82, of Mooresville, NC died Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Gordan Hospice House in Statesville, NC. Born in Burke County on August 7, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Alexis Beach and Carrie Ethel Poteat Beach.
Mrs. Costner was a member of Bollinger’s Chapel United Methodist Church and worked many years as a certified nursing assistant.
Mrs. Costner is survived by her son, Danny Andrew Costner and wife, Krystal of Mooresville, NC; daughter, Tammy Costner Schuler and husband, Marc of Morganton, NC; grandchildren, Natasha Street, Kristi Marie Street, Kristopher Byers Costner, Andrew Costner, Bentley Costner; great-granddaughters, Aubrey Benfield and Patience Benfield; and sister-in-law, Mary Beach.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Costner was preceded in death by her husband, James Clyde “J. C.” Costner; and her brothers, Johnny Ray Beach, Robert Lee Beach, and Ernest Alexis Beach, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 p.m., Saturday, March 12, 2016 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 2 p .m. in the chapel with Rev. George Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Bollingers Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Valdese, NC.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
