Ethel Lee Webb King, 88, of Grace Ridge, formerly of Asheville, died, Thursday, May 8, 2014. Mrs. King was born July 27, 1925 in Boyd County, Kentucky to the late Leon and Bainie Cassell Webb. She was a graduate of Lee H. Edwards High School in Asheville and worked for over thirty years as an office manager for several optical companies. The family would like to thank the staff of Grace Ridge for their loving and dedicated care.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Albert King.Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Martin Dow Peterson and his wife, Debbie of Charlotte; daughter, Pat King Smith and her husband, Don of Morganton; grandchildren, Kimberly Costanzo and husband, Joey, Chad Peterson and his wife, Kristen, Tate Helms, Cameron Morrison-Mauney and husband, Maxwell and Jacob Smith; great-grandchildren, Reagan Costanzo, Madison Costanzo, Caroline Helms, Lauren Helms and Devon Helms and very special friends, Mary Giles and Edna Blanton both of Asheville.A memorial service will be held at 12 noon, Friday, May 23, 2014 at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery Chapel in Black Mountain, NC with Chaplain David Taylor of Montreat College officiating. Following the service, the family will receive friends at the chapel. Burial of the urn will be in the veteran's cemetery with her husband, Joe.
