Ethel Louise Harrison, 85, of Morganton, NC went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 17, 2022.
Born in Burke County, NC on June 2, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Harrison and Era Lingerfelt Harrison. Ethel was a member of Catawba Valley Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family and enjoyed growing and tending flowers. She liked to get out to ride in the car and never left home without her canine companion, Missy.
Ethel is survived by her children, Gary Pritchard (Shirley), Darlene Buff (Mike), Alan Pritchard (Cathy), and Keith Pritchard (Sondra); grandchildren, Andrea Rector (Dylan), Shannon Hallyburton (Austin), and Misty Stacy; great-grandchildren, Mickenzie Pritchard, Willow Rector, and Abbie Clark; brothers, Bennett Harrison (Barbara) and Parks Harrison (Nancy); sisters, Brenda Parry (Eddie) and Margaret Duckworth (Charles); a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family; and special friend, William Watts.
In addition to her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon Pritchard; and sisters, Mattie McKenzie and Grace Epley.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Catawba Valley Baptist Church. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. in the church with Rev. Doug St. John officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Amorem Hospice.
