Ethel Rowland

Ethel Rowland, 93, of Marion, NC died Thursday, March 12, 2009 at McDowell Hospital. Born in Cragford, AL on March 7, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Cephus Dennan Siggers and Emily Eudora Willingham Siggers. Ethel was of the Baptist Faith. She loved to quilt and crochet doilies. She was loved by many and will be missed. She was lovingly referred to as Miss Ethel.Ethel is survived by her daughter, Marine Aden of CA; and grandchildren, Belinda Daub, Wendy Dunfee, Bobbie Sparks, Glen Eaton, Jim Motes, and Tim Benefield.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry "Jake" Rowland; a daughter, Virginia Eaton; and a son, James Motes.The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 16, 2009 at Baptist Gospel Mission Church in Jeffersonville, GA with Rev. W. C. Bloodworth officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
