Evelyn Alberta Clark Shull

Evelyn Alberta Clark Shull, 83, of Drexel died Saturday, January 3, 2015. Born April 2, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Arnold Clark and Bessie Franklin Clark. Evelyn was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. She worked for Drexel Furniture. After 25 years of service, Evelyn retired from Burke County Public Schools.
Evelyn is survived by her husband, Merlin B. Shull of the home; a son, Gregory Shull and fiancé, Renee Smith.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by a brother, Arnold Dean Clark.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Burke Memorial Park with the Rev. Amy Freeze officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, 1721 Enon Rd., Valdese, NC 28690.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
