Evelyn Lees DeAugustinis

Evelyn Lees DeAugustinis, 98 passed away peacefully at Grace Ridge Healthcare in Morganton. Born in East Paterson, New Jersey, she was the daughter of James and Annabelle Nickerson Lees. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Ted DeAugustinis and her brothers; Herb, William, Al and George and sisters Dorothy and Arnetta.   Left to cherish her memory are her sons Richard and wife Sally of Nebo and Jim and wife Audrey, of Morganton; grandsons Matthew (Karolina) and great grandsons Gavin, Gabriel and Greyson of Redding, California and Michael (Sydney) and great granddaughter Della of Denver, Colorado. She also leaves behind a close and caring extended family of special nieces and nephews and their families.

Evelyn was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and had careers with New Jersey Bell Telephone and JC Penney and lifelong friends from her birth home of Hawthorne, New Jersey. Evelyn resided her last five years at Grace Ridge Retirement Center where she truly appreciated the friends she made and the wonderful and caring staff.

She enjoyed traveling with her husband and holidays with her family and most of all being Nana.   She will be missed and held in our memory as a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.   There will be a private family service.
