Faye Michaels Clemens

Faye Michaels Clemens, 83, of Morganton, NC died Sunday, August 31, 2014. Born in McDowell County, NC on April 22, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Michaels and Pauline Waters Michaels. Faye was a member of Zion Road Baptist Church and was formerly pastor of New Covenant Full Gospel Church in Valdese, NC. For many years, Mrs. Clemens owned and operated Faye’s Fashions.
Faye is survived by her husband, Ray Clemens of the home; daughters, Janice Bowman and her husband, Gary, of Morganton, Phyllis Walker of Morganton; and Evelyn Madigan of Fripp Island, SC; step-sons, Douglas Clemens and his wife, Amber, and Andrew Clemens and his wife, Melissa, all of Morganton.
In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her brothers, Carl and Eugene Michaels; and a step-son, Jackie Lee Clemens and his wife, Irene.
The memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Zion Road Baptist Church with the Rev. Micah Piercy officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service.
