Florence E. Hunt

Florence E. Hunt, 67, of Morganton passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2012 after a long illness. Born in Creedmoor, NC on September 8, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Willie Preston Evans and Annie Mae Smawley Bartok. In addition to her parents, Florence was preceded in death by her son, Walter Colvin, and sister, Patty Shaun.Florence is survived by her loving husband, Allen Hunt; sons, Dewayne Colvin and his wife, Valerie, and Daniel Colvin and his wife, Sandra; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Chadwell and Sydna Stella; and a brother, Kenneth Chadwell.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 1721 Enon Road, Valdese, NC 28690.Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
