Florence Nickles Kizer

Florence Nickles Kizer, 80, of Morganton, NC went home to be with the Lord Friday, September 8, 2017. She was born March 7, 1937 in St. Louis, MO and was the daughter of the late Charles Nickles and Florence Spangle Nickles. Florence was a member of United Methodist Church in Valdese. She was a devoted mother and grandmother that was loved dearly by her family. Florence never met a stranger and loved talking to people. She loved to read and crochet, but especially liked to work and go to flea markets. She also loved her dog “Suzie”.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Kizer; son, Morgan Kizer; brother, John Nickles; and granddaughter, Samantha Kizer.
Florence is survived by daughter, Diane Kizer Hall and husband, Junior; son, Mark Kizer and wife, Janice; daughter-in-law, Vivian Epley Kizer; grandchildren, Jason Hall, Lisa Hall, Chris Hall, Daryl Hall, Morgan Junior Kizer and wife, Gail, Brandon Kizer and wife, Elizabeth; great-grandchildren, Lillian Kiddy, Amelia Hall, Matthew Kizer, and Taylor Kizer; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
There are no services planned at this time. The family would like to send special thanks to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care for their care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 1721 Enon Rd., Valdese, NC 28690.
